How to manage your team's general objectives

Modified on Thu, 1 Oct at 9:25 AM

General objectives are goals shared by an entire organizational unit. As a manager, you can define and evaluate them for the teams you are responsible for.

Access general plans

  1. Go to the Performance and Talent → My Team → General Plans hub.
  2. Select the active period in the top filter.
  3. You will see the general plans for which you are responsible. Double-click to open the record.

Define general objectives

Within the record, go to the Objectives tab:

  1. Click Add on the toolbar.
  2. Fill in the fields:
    • Name of the objective
    • Type: Quantitative, Qualitative, or Date
    • Growth: Increasing or Decreasing
    • Weight within the category (must total 100% among all objectives)
    • Commitment date
    • Indicators: reference values to measure achievement
  3. Click Add to save.

ℹ️ General objectives automatically apply to all employees in the organizational unit associated with the plan. You can adjust this from the Involved tab.

Evaluate general objectives

During the evaluation phase:

  1. Open the objective from the Objectives tab.
  2. Enter the current result.
    • Quantitative or Date: achievement is calculated automatically.
    • Qualitative: enter the percentage of achievement manually.
  3. Add observations if necessary.
  4. Save the changes.

Manage involved employees and delegates

Involved: by default, general objectives apply to all employees in the organizational unit. From the Involved tab you can:

  • Add people who do not belong to the unit but should have these objectives
  • Exclude people who would normally be included

Delegates: from the Delegates tab, you can add people who will act with your permissions on this plan, for example during an absence.

⚠️ The same person cannot be both evaluator and delegate for the same plan.

Yes. From the Involved tab you can exclude specific employees or add employees from outside the unit.

❓ Can an employee have the general objectives of more than one unit?
