Important: This article is intended for Endalia HR users with the Manager profile.
As a manager, you can actively manage your team’s training: enroll team members in available training activities, request withdrawals, and propose new courses for the catalog—all without the need for the team member to initiate the request themselves.
In this article we show
- What happens when you submit a request?
- Request enrollment of a team member in a training action
- Request withdrawal of a team member from a training action
- Request a new course for your team
What happens when you submit a request?
Requests initiated by managers do not make the change effective immediately. They generate a request that follows the approval workflow configured by your organization, which usually includes a processing stage by HR. Once approved, the change is automatically applied.
This means:
- When requesting an enrollment, the team member is not registered until HR approves the request.
- When requesting a withdrawal, the team member does not move to Withdrawn status until it is approved.
- When requesting a new course, the course is created in Inactive status once approved.
Request enrollment of a team member in a training action
When to use it: when you want to enroll someone from your team in available training without waiting for them to request it themselves.
Requirements:
- The training activity must be in Available status.
- The team member must not already be enrolled in that training action.
Navigation: Within the Talent hub, go to Training > My Team’s Training. Locate the training activity and go to its details page.
- On the action button of the details page, select Request enrollment for a team member.
- Select the team member you wish to enroll.
- Review the details and submit the request.
You can track the status from the home page (Requests widget) or from Management and processes > Submitted requests.
Request withdrawal of a team member from a training action
When to use it: when a team member needs to withdraw from training they are enrolled in and cannot manage it themselves.
Requirements:
- The training activity must be in Available or In progress status.
- The team member must be enrolled and must not have Completed their participation.
Navigation: Access the training activity details page from Training > My Team’s Training.
- On the action button, select Request withdrawal for a team member.
- Select the team member you want to withdraw.
- Review the details and submit the request.
If the request is approved, the team member moves to Withdrawn phase and the training activity is removed from their calendar.
Request a new course for your team
When to use it: when you identify a training need in your team and the course does not exist in the catalog.
How to access:
- Option 1: From Training > Available courses, click on Request new course.
- Option 2: From the home page > Pending requests > Add request.
Required information:
- Course name
- Description
- Estimated duration (hours)
- Format
- URL (if applicable)
- Comments or justification
Fill in all the fields you can: this helps HR evaluate the request and increases the likelihood of approval.
Submit the request by clicking Save and continue. Once approved, the course will be created in Inactive status and HR will be able to activate it and add training activities.
