The IT supplement defines how an employee's salary is supplemented during leave. It is configured directly within each collective agreement and, like salary payments, now requires manual assignment of employees in order to be included in payroll calculations.

How to add an IT supplement

Access the agreement from Settings → People and Positions → Agreements and open the IT Supplement tab. Click on Add IT supplement to open the form.

Step 1. Fill in the general information

Give the supplement a name and configure the main fields:

  • IT Classification: select the type of leave to which this supplement applies (for example, Occupational Accident).
  • IT Subclassification: optional. Allows you to refine the classification if it applies to a specific subtype.
  • Supplement amount: define the amount or percentage to be supplemented.
  • Minimum duration: minimum number of days of leave required for the supplement to become active.

You can mark the supplement as Default IT Supplement if it applies to most employees.

Step 2. Define the application of the IT

In the IT Application tab, configure the limits and the application brackets:

  • Limit by IT in the period: if you enable this option, define if the period is measured in the calendar year or in months.
  • Limit by number of days: if you enable this option, specify the maximum number of days for which the supplement will apply.
  • Application brackets: define if the brackets are calculated independently from each other and add the relevant brackets with the Add bracket button.

Step 3. Set up the IT types that apply in the brackets

In the IT types that apply in the brackets tab, specify which IT classifications and subclassifications are considered in the calculation of the brackets. Click on Add IT and select the classification and, optionally, the subclassification.

Step 4. Set the seniority and staffing data

In the Seniority and Staffing Data tab, you can set additional conditions:

  • Limit by seniority: if you enable this option, specify the minimum required seniority and its unit (days, months, years).
  • Limit by staffing percentage: if you enable this option, define who the percentage applies to and the corresponding value.

Step 5. Assign the employees

Important: the IT supplement must have assigned employees for it to be calculated in payroll.

In the Assignment tab, click on Assign employees and:

  1. Set the assignment validity period.
  2. Search for and select employees by first name, last name, ID, or code.
  3. Click on Next to review the selection and confirm.

You can create different assignments with different validity periods for the same supplement.

Step 6. Save the supplement

When you have completed all of the tabs, click Add to save the IT supplement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have more than one IT supplement in the same agreement?
Yes. You can create as many IT supplements as you need within the same agreement, for instance, to differentiate between different types of leave.

What happens if I do not assign employees to the supplement?
The supplement will be configured but will not be applied in payroll calculations until it has at least one active assignment.

Can I assign employees with different validity periods to the same supplement?
Yes. The same supplement can have multiple active assignments with different validity periods, allowing you to manage changes in the employee groups over time.
